Bookham firm rewards Surrey's Best Builders

Bookham firm rewards Surrey's Best Builders

The winner of Surrey's Best Builder has been announced. The Award scheme, run by local builders merchants, Chandlers Building Supplies in association with FIX Radio, was presented to a builder from Godalming this week.

Terry Daoust of TCD Builders was presented with the winners plaque and took home the prize of £1,000 to spend at any of Chandlers Building Supplies Surrey stores; Bookham, Banstead and Chertsey.

Two other Surrey builders, Robert Dadge of RedAcre Groundwork Landscaping from Knaphill and Andy Stevens of Eclipse Property Solutions based in Weybridge also made the initial finalist shortlist.

Sue McKinney of Chandlers Building Supplies said "The judges were looking for someone who deserved to be rewarded for their expertise, dedication, energy and amazing service. We were inundated with entries and while many were potentially worthy winners, Terry took pole position."

Terry scooped top prize for his dedication to customer service, proven by the amazing customer testimonials that all mentioned his willingness to go the extra mile for them. Terry's impressive projects were executed with precision and his involvement with local charitable initiatives was also highly commended.

Terry said: "I am honoured and delighted to be the winner of Surrey's Best Builder. A big thank you goes to Chandlers Builders Supplies who ran this Award. I look forward to spending my money at their Surrey stores. I also want to thank those who nominated me for this. It's a great feeling to be recognised but we wouldn't have achieved any of this without the amazing team of people I work with and, of course, our fantastic customers. "

TCD Builders, based in Godalming Surrey, was established in 1998 and focuses on groundwork, landscaping, general building as well as roofing.

Chandlers Building Supplies has three branches in Surrey; Bookham, Banstead and Chertsey.  As a family business it has very strong connections with its local communities and is currently the sponsor of the Bookham U8 football team as well as running several charitable initiatives for Surrey charities.

Fix Radio is the UK first radio station dedicated to tradespeople.
