Leatherhead Homeless Centre devastated by floods - Urgent help required
Pitstop, the Day Centre in Leatherhead, has been badly damaged by the recent floods. Situated alongside the Leatherhead football ground which was completely inundated on Tuesday it has been described as “a disaster area”. The water came in over a metre deep. Furniture, computers, freezers, fridges are all ruined, as was a lot of food.
Graham, Pitstop's manager and his team have started the clear up but it will at least a week and possibly two before it is all dried out and habitable again. At the moment they are hampered in their efforts as they can't get hold of any skips to get rid of ruined items. Once the building is habitable, they will be in need of replacement equipment and foodstuffs, as well as financial support. If anyone knows of local companies or individuals who can help in this rsepect please visit or contact Graham on 01372 363003.

From this week Pitstop has relocated their midday meals to Fetcham Village Hall for as long as necessary.
